- Go fishing
- Take a walk
- Read a book in the shade - from the library
- Go to the dog park
- Play some frisbee, catch, kickball, or soccer
- Look for free events near you like concerts, out door movies, Shakespeare outdoors etc
- Grill
- Take pictures of all the fun you're having
- Go for a bike ride
- Take a trip to a you-pick farm
- Tackle some house projects that have been on the wish list
- Plant a garden
- Do some yoga
- Cook some new recipes
- Hang out by the pool
- Go hiking
- Take the dog for a walk
- Visit a new state or local park
- Make a corn hole or horseshoes game for your back yard
- Have you tried bocce?
- Watch the sunset
- Visit the beach
- Enjoy summer's in season produce
- Eat some ice cream (we recently made ice cream sandwiches mmmm....)
- Nap in the sun

This summer I haven been riding my bike 6 days a week. I read 20 books since the beginning of July and even took a class for 4 weeks. I am busy and very productive.

ReplyDeleteGreat ideas! I just came back from a bike ride along our bayou and saw a pink-billed ibis, two turtles, and fish:).
ReplyDeleteGood ideas! Some universities even have free equipment rentals and outdoor clubs.. another great bargain for zero cost entertainment (that actually saves you money down the line because you will probably be in greater health and not need to access healthcare as frequently)
